Losing Irfan in World Cup

I am not sure why people are feeling so depressed after the bowler Irfan has been ruled out of the remaining world cup. Were we really thinking that we could beat Australia in the quarter final, win the next two games and then come back home with the prized trophy? I mean, come on. Optimism is good and so is the positive approach but living in fool’s paradise is not healthy. Look at the team and look at their performance so far and just be thankful that they were able to reach the quarter finals. We got the relatively easy group and managed to stumble upon the next stage. The guys who don’t get tired of comparing this world cup campaign with the 92 one forget that we don’t have any Wasim Akram, Javed Miandad, or Inzamam. This team is certainly the weakest and least talented we have throughout our Cricketing lives.

Losing Irfan in World Cup

One of the most tired-looking, old, and useless captain Misbah ul Haq is secretly happy that some of the players are getting unfit or getting entangled in other issues with the ICC as this provides him excuses for the colossal failure on the field in this tournament. He says that ace spinner Saeed Ajmal and spinning all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez are not in team. He says that now Muhammad Irfan has gone out and so is the Junaid Khan. The thing is that even with these clowns we don’t have a chance in light years to win any respectable tournament. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) would do good to give shut-up call to the Misbah and ask him to focus on game which he cannot and if even if he does, there is no use. There is no short term fix for this. We need to throw this whole team out and bring in new talent and keep bringing it. And as far as Irfan is concerned. Being tall doesn’t mean he is good too. And we should just focus on arguing how tall Irfan is and what’s his actual height and would he grow more?
