A Girl In The River: The Price of Forgiveness

Shermeen produces what feels and looks natural. She directs her documentaries in such a way that they touch heart and evoke strong emotions while compelling the viewers to think about the issue at hand and yearn to do something about it. The issue related to women in developing countries like Pakistan are close to her heart. This is a matter of pride for Pakistan that their prodigal daughter Shermeen is shining at the global stage and is being acknowledged by the Oscar. Her academy awards would send a very nice and soft signal to the world that Pakistanis love their culture. Way to go Shermeen.
