Pak Army on Karachi roads, likely to take charge during Muharram

In an unprecedented move on Friday, the Pakistan Army commandos were seen on the streets of Karachi, a metropolitan of Pakistan, along with Rangers and police officials.

According to sources, the army officials visited several sites in the city after IG Sindh made an announcement that in case of any disturbance during Muharram, Pakistan army would be summoned in the city.

The army officials visited Baldia Town, Orangi Town, S.I.T.E and other sensitive areas of the city.

According to the sources, the visit of army officials in the city was considered as a possible deployment of the forces in the city during the Islamic month of Muharram.
