With the wedding season just coming to an end, we can see more and more musicians tying knots. Earlier it was the big news of Atif Aslam getting married on this weekend that has created a lot of buzz in and around. And now it’s been told that Ahmed Ali Butt, the popular singer turned actor and host is also finally tying the knot and getting married to his longtime friend, Fatima Khan.
For those of you who don’t know her, Fatima has also been associated with the showbiz industry of Pakistan for quite some time. She made her breakthrough with the character of “kam’mo” in the famous sit-com “Shashlik” which got aired almost a decade back on Indus television. And if my memory serves me right, it was during the show that she got married and her actual wedding was shown in the sit-com. Later she left the showbiz and moved to United Kingdom. So most probably this turns out to be her second marriage.
Sometime back, Ahmed and Fatima also did a cooking show together and another show as well which was sort of a travelogue about England. They have been involved with each other for quite some time but it is just now that they are finally getting married. On the other hand, Ahmed Ali Butt also seems to be really excited about achieving this milestone of his life. Ahmed is seen really busy these days with his hosting commitments but with not-so-happening scene in his music career, he has surely stepped in the right direction. EP also released a statement about their current lead vocalist: “Congratulations to our very own Ahmad Ali Butt on getting married this weekend. May Allah bless the new couple Ameen.” We will also like to take this opportunity to congratulate the couple and wish them a wonderful life ahead.
