survived horror crash
A WOMAN has survived a
horror 50ft fall after driving her car off the
sixth floor of a multi-
storey car park.
Incredibly, the unnamed
Australian suffered just
cuts and bruises after her silver sedan crashed
through safety barriers
and on to the street below.
The crumpled vehicle
ended up wedged on its
side in the Melbourne alleyway.
Firefighters had to cut out
the trapped 41-year-old
driver, after the roof
caved in.

It is believed the car struck the roof of an adjoining
building, before plunging
to the ground and landing
on the passenger side.
Emergency services who
rushed to the driver's aid were left stunned after
finding she had sustained
only a cut to her head.
Intensive care paramedic
Matthew Riddle said: "The
car landed on the passenger side and the 41-
year-old woman was still
in the driver's seat,
supporting herself so she
didn't fall.
Crumpled ... roof caved in as car became wedged in
alleyway
"There was only about
30cms between the car
and the wall on either side
of the laneway so we had to edge our way in against
the car to get to the
woman."
The woman was treated
by paramedics for a severe
cut to the head. She was taken to the
Royal Melbourne Hospital
in a stable condition and
has since been released. No
one else is believed to be
injured.
