Recipe for TAMARIND PICKLE

Ingredients

  • 300 grams tamarind pods
  • 200 grams Green chili (chopped)
  • 200 grams Garlic
  • 200 grams Ginger
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 20 grams Cumin (seeds)
  • 1 tbsp Tumeric powder
  • 2 tbsps Salt
  • 2 cups Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Oil

Cooking Directions

Wash and soak tamarind in vinegar for 40mins, Extract the pulp and keep aside

Grind garlic, ginger, cumin, salt and sugar in vinegar. Make a smooth paste

Heat oil and fry the paste for few mins. Add tamarind and chilies

Stirring constantly. Cook until mixture thickens
Cool and put it in jar
