Recipe for Paneer Bhurji


  • 1cup cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoon chopped green chilly
  • Spices:
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilly powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Few chopped coriander leaves

Cooking Directions

Heat oil in a non stick pan ,add chopped onion and green chillies. Sauté for 2 minutes. Add all spices and salt and mix well.

Now add chopped tomatoes ,sauté till oil comes out. ( you can replace tomatoes with1 teaspoon dried mango powder).

Add smashed cottage cheese , mix with spices.Cook for 5 minutes.

Transfer to serving bowl , add chopped coriander leaves.
Serve with chapati , paratha ,bread or as pizza topping.
