Recipe for Dry Kaala Chana


  • Boiled kaala chana
  • Salt to taste
  • turmeric- tbsp
  • Green chilies-2 finely chopped
  • ginger-1 small piece- chopped in slices
  • Cumin seeds-1 tbsp
  • Oil- 2 -3 tbsp
  • Coriander- to garnish on top
  • Black pepper-1/2 tbsp
  • Black salt- 1/2 tbsp
  • Chaat masala- 1/2 tbsp
  • 1 lemon – juice
  • amchur powder-1/2tbsp
  • Garam masala-slight to taste

Cooking Directions

Clean, wash atleast thrice and then soak the chanas over night

Then wash them again and soak in water again
On other side take a pan and add oil, cumin seeds and lit the stove

Once the seeds starts popping add chanas and mix well
To this add green chilies chopped and ginger and mix well

Then add all the dry masalas, like salt, garam masala,chaat masala, amchur powder, red chili, black salt, black pepper

Mix it well and let it cook for some time Sprinkle lemon juice on top and garnish with Green coriander which is finely chopped.
