Recipe for Chicken Ginger Makhni


  • Chicken 1 kg (boneless)
  • White vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Ketchup 2 tbsp
  • Oil ¾ cup
  • Onion 2 (chopped)
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Tomato 5 – 6 (finely chopped)
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Coriander seeds 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Black pepper 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Green peas 2 cup (boiled, optional)
  • Yogurt ½ cup (without water)
  • Green chili 4 – 5
  • Ginger ½ cup (sliced)
  • All spice powder ½ tsp
  • Fresh coriander for Garnishing
  • Butter 3 – 4 tbsp

Cooking Directions

Marinade chicken with white vinegar and ketchup and put a side.

Heat oil and sauté onion then add garlic paste fry a little bit and add red chili powder, salt, turmeric with some water.

Then add tomatoes and make a good cooked spice.

Add marinated chicken and cook it well until water goes dry.

Add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, crushed black pepper and boiled green peas and cook.

Then add yogurt, green chilies and ginger slices and cook on high flame.

When yogurt water dry then add ½ cup hot water sprinkle all spice powder, fresh coriander and butter then put on simmer for 5 min.

After 5 minute dish it out and serve with chapaties and enjoy.
