Recipe for Thai Chicken Coriander Soup


  • Boneless chicken (breast) 100 gm
  • Salt and pepper as taste
  • Lemon grass 2 – 3 strings
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp
  • Ginger ½ tsp (Julian cut)
  • Garlic paste ½ tsp
  • Soy sauce ½ tsp
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Whole red chili 2
  • Green chili 1
  • Fresh coriander ½ bunch (chopped)
  • Chicken stock 1 liter
  • Cooking oil 1 tbsp

Cooking Directions

Cut the boneless chicken into small thin slices.

Marinate the chicken in pinch of salt and pepper, few drops of lemon juice and few drops for soy sauce.

Heat little oil in a medium sized cooking pot.

Add the marinated chicken in it and stir fry for 2 minutes.

Add the ginger, garlic paste, bay leaf, whole red chilies, green chili, soy sauce and lemon juice.

Stir and add chicken stock and lemon grass strings.

Bring to boil and let it cook on medium heat for 15 minutes.

Add chopped green coriander, stir and take it off flame.

Serve hot.
