Recipe for Chicken Toast

Ingredients

  • Chicken breast 1 (boneless and skinless)
  • Egg white 1
  • Milk bread or brown bread slices 8
  • Green onion 1 (both white and green portion)
  • Soya sauce 1 tbsp
  • Green chili 2 small
  • Fresh coriander 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • For Batter:
  • White flour 3 tbsp
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Egg Yolk 1
  • Baking powder ½ tsp
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Water for mixing batter
  • Oil for shallow frying

Cooking Directions

Remove crusts from the bread.

Using a food processor, blend chicken with egg white, green onion, soya sauce, green chilies, coriander, black pepper powder and salt until smooth paste.

Make smooth batter using all the ingredients (the batter should not be runny neither thick).

Spread paste evenly on top of bread. (if bread slices are big , cut them in triangles or any shape).

Heat oil in frying pan.

Apply batter only on chicken pasted side of the slice.

Do not dip other side in batter.

Fry toasts with chicken side down for 4 minutes, turn the side and fry for 2 minutes.

Fry 2 to 3 toasts at a time.

Drain oil from toasts thoroughly.

Serve hot with chili garlic sauce.
