Recipe for Baingan Ka Bharta


  • Eggplant 500g
  • Cooking Oil 2 tbsp
  • Onion 1 piece
  • White Cumin 1 tsp
  • Green Chili 2 pieces
  • Garlic Chopped 1 tsp
  • Tomato 4 pieces
  • Salt as per taste
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin Powder 1 tsp
  • Hot Water half cup
  • Green Coriander for garnishing

Cooking Directions

In a grill pan, heat the eggplant and afterward, take off its skin.
Now, mashed the eggplant.

In a cooking pan, add cooking oil, onion, white pepper and fry it until light brown.

Now add garlic, tomato, salt, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, hot water and cook it for 5-7 minutes.

After that, add the mashed eggplant and cook it for 2-3 minutes.

Use green coriander for garnishing.

Your tasty Baingan ka Bharta is ready to serve.
