Recipe for Paneer Masala


  • Paneer (cottage cheese) 500 gms
  • Tomatoes 3 medium
  • Capsicum 3 medium
  • Peas (boiled) 1 cup
  • Onion 2 medium
  • Ginger-garlic paste 1.5 tbsp
  • Red chili powder (crushed) to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Green coriander as required
  • Oil for cooking

Cooking Directions

Cut paneer in cubes and fry them lightly in a little oil till slightly golden.

Cut onions, tomatoes and capsicum in thick strips.

Heat oil in a wok.

Add cumin seeds to it.

When they start crackling add ginger-garlic paste and saute for a few seconds.

Add onion, capsicum and peas to it.

Saute for one minute and then add paneer.

Saute for few seconds and then add tomatoes, salt and crushed chilies.

Saute for two to three minutes.

Pour it in a dish and garnish with sliced ginger Julienne and chopped green coriander.

Enjoy it with lightly toasted buttered buns.

You can also use cauliflower, carrots, potatoes and other vegetables of your choice for this recipe.
