Speaking to the media, Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association, Ghayas Paracha said that 3030 CNG stations have submitted their audit details to Ogra. He furthered that 700 stations closed by SNGPL on alleged violation of law must be opened.

He said that the investment of 400 billion on the CNG industry ‘must not be ruined to introduce LPG in the country’. Paracha said 3.7 million vehicles are benefiting from the industry.

He claimed that they are bearing 57 rupees per kg loss on each gas filling. He called upon the government to eliminate taxes on he utility.

Government holds the stance that the operation of CNG stations should be gradually ended. It also said that CNG should be restricted to public transport and 1000-cc cars.
