Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has started installation of Time of Use (ToU) meters for domestic and commercial consumers of 5 KW in a bid to encourage customers to use minimum electricity during peak hours and get 30 to 50 percent relief on electricity bills.
With installation of these meters the use of electricity during different times would be monitored. During 05:00 pm to 11:00 pm normal rates would be applicable and during 11:00 pm to 05:00 pm concessional rates will be applied. Keeping the consumption timing, consumer may minimize their electricity bill upto 50 percent.
Domestic and Commercial consumers can get relief if they use minimum electricity during Peak Hours. Per Unit Rate of a Domestic consumer during peak hours is Rs 13.99 while in normal timings the rate will be Rs.8.22.
