Recipe for Grilled Cottage Cheese Rolls


  • Cottage cheese in a firm block 500 gm
  • For the Stuffing:
  • Cottage cheese Grated 150 gm
  • Oil 75 ml
  • Mushrooms chopped 150 gm
  • Capsicum chopped 150 gm
  • Onions chopped 150 gm
  • Coconut powder 100 gm
  • Cottage cheese grated 150 gm
  • Potatoes, boiled grated 100 gm
  • Caraway seeds 5 gm
  • Cayenne pepper 10 gm
  • Dry fenugreek 5 gm
  • White pepper powder 20 gm
  • Turmeric 5 gm
  • Raisins 100 gm
  • Lemon juice 10 ml
  • For the Coating:
  • Gram flour 50 gm
  • Water 20 ml
  • Cronflour 100 gm
  • Cream 100 gm
  • Saffron 1/2 gm
  • Green coriander chopped 20 gm

Cooking Directions

Slice cottage cheese lengthwise into 15 X 6 X 0.5 cm pieces.

Heat oil, saute mushrooms, capsicum, onions and coconut powder.

Add grated cottage cheese along with other ingredients for the stuffing.

Stir fry for a few seconds and remove from heat.

Mix gram flour with just enough water to make a thick paste.

Spread the paste on one aside of the cottage cheese slices, turn over, spread 3 tsp of the filling and shape into rolls.

Keep aside. Add the remaining ingredients for the coating to the gram flour water paste.

Coat the cottage cheese rolls evenly and bake in an oven for 10-12 minutes at low heat.

Sprinkle with chaat masala. Garnish with grated carrots and lemon wedges.
