Recipe for Chicken Rezala


  • Chicken 1 kg (cut in 12 pieces)
  • Onions 2 large (finely sliced and fried)
  • Thick greek yogurt 1 cup
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • Saffron 1/4 tsp
  • Kewra water 1 & 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tbsp
  • Ginger & garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Green chili 15 (the spicy one)
  • Oil 3/4 cup
  • Fresh coriander 1/2 bunch

Cooking Directions

In a blender add fresh coriander, fried onions, green chili, water 1/2 cup blend it.

Heat oil add ginger & garlic, chicken and fry till changes colour, on high flame.

Now add salt, turmeric, coriander powder, grinned mixture, yogurt, water 1 cup and mix well, wait for a boil on high flame, then cover and cook on low to medium till the oil comes on surface.

Then add saffron and kewra water, garam masala mix well.

Serve hot with roti or naan.
