He was suffering from blood cancer. According to the details, Makhdoom Ameen Fahim had been abroad for the last several months for cancer treatment and had recently returned back to Pakistan. After his return to Karachi, he was admitted to a private hospital where he was under treatment for last few weeks. Makhdoom was senior vice chairman of the PPP and member of the National Assembly from Hala (NA-218). He was the spiritual head of the Sarwari Jamaat. He was born in Hala city of Sindh on 4th August, 1939. He passed his matriculation exam in 1957 while graduated from Sindh University in 1961. He participated in general election of 1970 on PPP ticket and got elected as member of National Assembly from Thatha. He won all the elections of 1977, 1988, 1990, 1993, 1997, 2002, 2008 and 2013, which is a record. Like no likes.
