Recipe for Bread Barfi

Ingredients

  • 4 bread slices
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 liter milk
  • 250 gm sugar
  • 50 gm pistachios, chopped
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp kewra water
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder

Cooking Directions

Soak bread slices in milk for 2 hours.
Place soak bread slices in a blender.

Blend well until smooth. Take it out in a pan.

Cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes or until all water dries up. Keep stirring.

Add sugar, ground cardamoms and kewra water.
Cook on low flame for 10 minutes then add crumbled khoya.

Grease a dish or tray with butter.
Spread bread mixture on it.

Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Take it out from the oven.

Cut into squares.
Sprinkle pistachios over it.
