Recipe for Munakke wali Chana ki Dal

Ingredients

  • Gram lentils, soaked in water for 2 hours 1 cup
  • Coconut 1/2
  • Raisins 10
  • Green chillies 2-3
  • Oil as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • For All-spice:
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Ground red chillies 1 tsp
  • Ginger 1 cm piece
  • Cumin seed powder 1 tsp

Cooking Directions

Boil lentils with salt till tender.

Each grain of the lentil must be soft and separate.

Heat oil, add the all spice and pour over the lentils.

Fry small cubes of coconut and put in the lentils.

Add the raisins and 2-3 slit green chillies.

Simmer till well done. Serve with puris.
