Recipe for Fresh Strawberry Ice-cream

Ingredients

  • 2 cup skimmed milk
  • 2 tablespoon cornflour
  • 8-10 teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ cup sliced strawberries
  • For strawberry sauce
  • ¾ cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 4-5 teaspoon sugar

Cooking Directions

Heat milk in a pan and separately dissolve cornflour in cold milk in another bowl.

Add the dissolved cornflour to the hot milk and stir continuously to avoid lumps.

Cook till the mixture thickens. Take it off the flame and add sugar. Mix well.

Strain it through a muslin cloth and let it cool. Add sliced strawberries and stir again.

Pour the mixture into an ice-cream tin and cover the lid. Put it in deep freezer.

Take out after an hour and beat till creamy. Place it back into the deep freezer.

Meanwhile, to prepare the sauce blend strawberries, lemon juice and sugar into a smooth paste and chill in the refrigerator.

Once the ice-cream is firmly set, demould it onto a plate.
Pour the sauce and serve it with strawberries.
