Recipe for Desi Aloo Mutter Sandwich

Ingredients

  • Boiled potatoes- 2- peeled and mashed
  • Onions- red ones- slices or finely chopped as you like
  • Salt to taste
  • Green chopped chilies
  • Chaat maslaa
  • Onions- finely chopped- half cup
  • Turmeric powder- to taste for color
  • Red chili powder-1 tbsp
  • Amchur powder-1 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves-finely chopped
  • Slight sugar to taste- yea this is imporatant
  • Boiled green peas- handful
  • Oil- 2 tbsp
  • 2 firm bread slices- with edges cut

Cooking Directions

For preparing the mixture or filling- peel the potatoes and mash them with a masher On a pan add oil and onions and let them roast for a while

To this add potatoes and all the above mentioned dry masalas except sugar

Mix them well and then add green peas to it Add sugar on top and mix it well

You can also add green coriander leaves if you like
Let this mixture cook for 2-3 minutes and then set aside to cool

Then take bread slices and apply butter(optional)
To this apply 1 spoon of potato mixture you just prepared
Spread it evenly Top with another slice

You can have it just like this or grill it in a griller and serve with green chutney and ketchup
