Recipe for Moong ni Chutti Dal

Ingredients

  • Split yellow moong dal- 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric- 1/2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder-1-2 tbsp
  • Oil- 2 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds-1 tbsp
  • Water- half cup

Cooking Directions

Wash the yellow moong dal enough at least 3 times and soak it under water for at least 30 minutes

Then take a pan and add oil and mustards seeds
Once it starts popping and then immediately add asafetida
After that add turmeric powder To this add 1/2 cup of water

Add salt and red chili powder and once the water starts boiling add yellow moong dal to it

Let this mixture cook for few minutes with closed lid on medium flame

Do not stir constantlylet the dal cook peacefully till it becomes tender and all water is evaporated

Once you find that- its the perfect time you can say its ready to serve
