Recipe for Potato-Onion Curry

Ingredients

  • 2 peeled potatoes- chopped in cubicle sizes
  • 2 small red onins- peeled and chopped in same sizes
  • Turmeric- ½ tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil- 2 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds- 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder- 1 tbsp.
  • Coriander powder-1-2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds- ½ tbsp
  • Asafetida- to sprinkle a small pinch
  • Sugar- to taste(Optional)

Cooking Directions

Wash both onions and potatoes after they are chopped well with water

Take a pan and add oil Lit the stove and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds to it

Once the seeds start popping, add asafetida Then add turmeric powder and immediately add the potatoes-onions w/o water

Mix the content well and add saltThen add red chilli powder and coriander powder

Mix it well, cover the container and let it cook Open often and mix well so that they don’t break Test with your spatula that is it soft or not

Once cooked sprinkle little sugar and mix well.
Serve with khichdi, roti etc
