Recipe for Chicken Casserole

Ingredients

  • Chicken pieces 500 grams (with bone)
  • Carrot 2 cut in thick round pieces
  • Capsicum 1 cut in cubes
  • Potato 1 cut in cubes
  • Chicken powder 1 tea spoon
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tea spoon
  • Chilli powder 1/2 tea spoon
  • White all-purpose flour 2 table spoons
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Oil 3 table spoons
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

In a pot make chicken stock by boiling 3 cups of water with chicken pieces till the half quantity of the stock is left.

Now add all vegetables, salt, black pepper powder, chilli powder and cover the pot, let it cook till vegetables are soft but firm.

Melt the butter in another sauce pan.

Stir in the flour and cook for 2 minutes.

Take the pan off the heat and gradually stir in the milk to get a smooth sauce.

Return to the heat and, stirring all the time, bring to the boil.

Simmer gently for 5 to 6 minutes and season with salt and black pepper powder.

When the white sauce is ready mix it with chicken and vegetables mixture.

Now simmer it for 2 minutes.

Take out the Chicken Casserole in the serving dish.

Serve delicious Chicken Casserole with bread or rice.
