Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Taimur Saleem Jhagra said that the party’s movement will remain continue despite arrests and detentions. Speaking in Dunya News’ program “Dunya with Meher Bukhari”, Jhagra announced that a major rally would be held in Peshawar tomorrow at 3 PM. “By imposing Section 144, the government is actually helping make our protest successful,” he remarked. He added that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will participate in the Peshawar rally while he will not be heading to Islamabad. Jhagra further stated that if the government truly had a legitimate mandate, it wouldn't resort to such measures. “PTI’s movement will go on,” he reiterated, while condemning the arrests and detentions of party workers.

“Who has arrested the former AJK PM Abdul Qayyum Niazi,” he questioned. Meanwhile, PTI has finalized its protest plan to be held across the country tomorrow, August 5. The protest would be staged under the banner of Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain-e-Pakistan (Movement for the Protection of Pakistan's Constitution). According to party sources, PTI has summoned all its MNAs and Senators to Islamabad and they will stage a protest outside Adiala Jail tomorrow (Tuesday). Meanwhile, PTI members of the provincial assemblies will lead protests within their respective constituencies. The protest will be monitored by party’s secretary general Salman Akram Raja, who will supervise the nationwide coordination. Strict security arrangements have been made outside the Adiala Jail where the party founder Imran Khan is detained.
