
The Rabi-ul-Awwal moon is expected to be born on Aug. 23 at 11:06 a.m., Pakistan’s space agency SUPARCO said Friday. According to SUPARCO, there are strong chances of sighting the moon on Aug. 24, which would mark the beginning of the Islamic month. The first of Rabi-ul-Awwal is likely to fall on Monday, Aug. 25. The final decision regarding the sighting of the moon will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, SUPARCO added.
