London 2012 hockey: Pakistan to face Australia today

With boost moral after winning their last match against South Africa, Pakistan to take on Australia in a do or die match in London Olympics 2012 on Tuesday (today).

Pakistan beat South Africa Sunday by 5-4 while Australia versus Great Britain match ended in a draw by 3-3. Now both Green Shirts and Kangaroos will play their last match head to head today.

Last three Olympics matches between Pakistan and Australia, Kangaroos continuously defeated Green Shirts.

Pakistan have to win the last match against Aussies as it is the only chance for the green shirts to qualify for semifinal after 12 years.

Pakistan need to make their defence and forward lines stronger because the world champions have strong striking strength with aggressive nature.

However, South Africa managed to score 4 goals against Pakistan but the green shirts played aggressively to win the match by 5-4.

In other matches today, Group A, the enthusiastic team GB will face Spain while South Africa to take on Argentine while in group B, Netherland will play South Korea and New Zealand to play against defending Olympic champion Germany and Belgium meet India.
