Recipe for Pineapple Pulao

Ingredients

  • Boiled rice 2 cups
  • Pineapple 1 can
  • Saffron 1/2 tsp (soaked in water)
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Cinnamon 2 sticks
  • Cardamoms 3
  • Black peppercorns 5
  • Cloves 2
  • Almonds as required (peeled)
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Clarified butter 1/2 cup
  • Fresh coriander for garnishing

Cooking Directions

Cook sugar and 1 cup water in saucepan to prepare syrup.

Cut pineapples into small pieces.

Heat clarified butter in a pot.

Fry cinnamon, cardamom, peppercorns and cloves.

Add rice and salt and mix well.

Add sugar syrup and mix.

Add pineapples almonds and saffron and cover pot with lid.

After 15 minutes, mix again and remove.

Serve garnished with coriander.
