• 1 1/2 cups self raising flour
• 2 tablespoon cocoa powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 cup melted butter
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup condensed milk
• 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
• 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
• 3/4 cup (150 grams) cream
• Butter for greasing

Sieve the flour, cocoa powder and soda bi-carb together.

In a large bowl, mix the butter, brown sugar, condensed milk, bananas and vanilla essence together.

Gradually, add in the flour mixture and the cream and mix to make a smooth batter.

Pour the batter into a 200 mm. (8") diameter greased cake tin.

Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C (360°F) for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in the cake comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and cool on wire rack.
