Recipe for Foil Chicken

Ingredients

  • Whole chicken 1 (make deep cuts throughout)
  • Vinegar 4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ginger garlic paste 1½ tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Ground cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • Meat tenderizer or papaya paste 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt ½ cup
  • Tomato ketchup ½ cup
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Foil paper
  • Boiled green peas ½ cup
  • Boiled macaroni 1cup
  • Boiled potato 1 (cubed)
  • Boiled carrot 1 (sliced)
  • Boiled eggs 2 (sliced)
  • Coriander chopped
  • Green chillies 3-4

Cooking Directions

Mix vinegar and salt in a small bowl and rub mixture all over chicken, leave the chicken for at least 2 hours in refrigerator.

Drain out all water released by chicken.

In small bowl mix salt, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, black pepper powder, ground cumin and meat tenderizer.

Apply marination over chicken and leave it for night.

Heat oil in large pan and fry chicken from both sides, now add yogurt and ketchup.

Cover and cook for 20 minutes then remove from flame.

Take a large piece of foil paper, place chicken, vegetables, eggs and macaroni in it then wrap it.

Bake wrapped chicken in preheated oven at 200C for at least 30 minutes.

Uncover chicken on serving platter and serve.
