Why are you getting education? The student got perplexes for a moment to listen and were looking at me with confusion, what you mean? He asked me. It happened some days ago when I was traveling in a bus and a student who wore a distinguish university’s uniform got onto the bus and sat beside me. We both were quiet but after passing some time I started getting bore and asked his name and education.
During the conversation, when I asked why you are receiving education? I am studying to get a better job.
I asked him do you think those who are illiterate they couldn’t earn or they would die with hunger. No, there is no such thing. But after getting a well degree we can earn better opportunities to earn money.
My dear the situation is not like that as you perceive. The reality is different.
I continued that qualification and reputed degree is no guarantee of earning handsome money. Because these are total different things and Allah also gives those who are illiterate and unqualified so this perception is wrong that without education nobody can survive.
I personally know so many people who are earning huge amount despite the fact that they are illiterate. For instance, a butcher in my locality earns handsome amount which in some cases an educated person doesn’t.
In short, less educated or illiterate people are also earning well. I asked him the reason behind that?
The student told me it has only one reason that Allah took himself the responsibility to provide ‘rizq’ without any discrimination and he doesn’t see who is literate or illiterate as he treats everyone equally. That’s why there no relation between earning money and a degree.
The main purpose of getting education is only one i.e. acquire awareness of reality because a man can access the main source of the creator of this universe. He can redefine own status and learn how should spend life.
In this whole conversation, I felt that the student was partially agreed to my view point.
