Recipe for Banana Bread Cheesecake


  • Caster sugar 1/2 cup
  • Plain flour 1 & 1/2 cup
  • Ripe bananas 4 (medium)
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Vanilla essences 1 tbsp
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Baking soda 1 tsp
  • Egg 1
  • Salt 1/4 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder 1 tsp
  • Spring form pan 9 inch (greased)
  • For Cheesecake Layer:
  • Cream cheese 800g (room temp)
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Caster sugar 3/4 cup
  • Vanilla essences 1 tbsp
  • Gelatine powder 1 tbsp

Cooking Directions

Preheat Oven 180c.

Mash the bananas and place it in a bowl.

Now add oil, egg, vanilla, sugar and whisk till combined.

Then add plain flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon powder and whisk till combined.

Transfer the batter in the greased pan, and bake it for 30 to 40 minutes.

Once baked leave to cool completely.

For cheesecake layer:
In a bowl add cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and whisk till combined.

Microwave the milk till hot for about 2 minutes, and add gelatine, quickly stir till dissolved, pour it in the cream cheese and whisk well till combined.

Now pour this mixture on the cake, cover it and keep in fridge for over night to set.

Drizzle some caramel sauce on top.

Serve and enjoy.
